DESCRIPTION: Walkers River Camp offers a mix of pure nature and luxury in exclusive privacy. The camp is situated on the banks of the flowing Klaserie River under a canopy of large trees. Walkers are fortunate to traverse well over 5000 ha of the game-rich Timbavati Reserve, which boasts prolific wildlife & birdlife, most of which can be seen from camp itself! Regular visitors to the river area in front of camp include Buffalo, Elephant herds, Lions, Leopard, Hippo and Wild Dog. Situated along a water source, birdlife is also superb. Walkers River Camp is a self-catering camp – when you book, the whole camp is yours. Although there are 5 rooms, a maximum of 8 people are allowed (Timbavati Rule). All guest rooms have air-conditioning and beds are covered by nets, with most having fans mounted within them, which is a wonderful feature for keeping cool & mosquito free.
