DESCRIPTION:
Tintswalo Lapalala is a family-friendly camp, offering seven luxury tented suites with private plunge pools, including two 2-bedroom family suites, all with views overlooking the rolling mountains and plains of the malaria-free Waterberg region. Tintswalo Lapalala is an untouched bushveld paradise in the heart of Africa, accommodating up to 16 adults and 4 children.

This boutique lodge is set in the 44,500-hectare Lapalala Wilderness Reserve which forms part of the UNESCO-declared Waterberg Biosphere Reserve.

The Tented Suites overlook the plain with a watering hole which is visited regularly by wildlife to quench their thirst. The individual suites are connected to the main lodge by a raised wooden walkway.

Wellness treatments including relaxing massages are available guests during their stay. The magnificent wooden deck provides a comfortable place for relaxation and from where to enjoy the view overlooking the active waterhole. In the boutique gift shop, travellers find a fine selection of curios.

The lodge features various dining venues which provide guests with the ultimate bush experience. These include delicious bush breakfasts, sundowners and bush dinners, boma dinners at the main lodge, as well as al Fresco dining depending on the weather.

Guests embark on exciting safari drives through the reserve to admire the wildlife up close in their natural habitat. Walks are available to view the tools and bushman paintings. Unforgettable picnics along the river, as well as breakfasts in the bush, can be arranged weather permitting.

With its sheer size of 44 500 hectares, the Lapalala Wilderness Reserve is home to a great variety of wild game. Guests enjoy thrilling wildlife sightings in one of Africa’s most diverse ecological settings. This game reserve is known for its breeding and research programs of rare and endangered species.

The Lapalala Wilderness Reserve, which was founded in 1981 by conservation leaders Dale Parker and Clive Walker, can be reached within a 3.5 hours’ drive from Johannesburg. The Tintswalo at Lapalala Wilderness Lodge continues the legacy of nature preservation by being environmentally conscious and staying off the grid.
