Bontle Lodge is nestled into a wonderful location in the malaria-free Welgevonden Reserve just two and a half hours from Johannesburg in the Limpopo Province in South Africa. The name means beauty in SeSotho, and is well deserved when one takes in the view from the outdoor showers of the bushveld and the Mokolo River running through Bontle Lodge.

Bontle Lodge offers a complete classic Safari experience, that can be tailored to each guest’s preferences, ensuring an unforgettable stay. The lodge is located in untouched and pristine surroundings, from here guests have an idyllic view of the African bushveld. The morning and afternoon/evening game drives enable guests to experience The Big 5 in their natural habitat.

The rooms are tucked in next to a river that runs through the lodge and they are also not far from animal tracks and hangouts. The private chef handcrafts dishes for guests, drawing inspiration from both international and African cuisine.

The lodge features five Luxury Rooms, with one Honeymoon Suite. Within each room, a combination of traditional doors and nets are in place, accompanied by fans that help you experience a feeling of connection with nature even while being indoors. Perfect for couples, each room boasts a deluxe double bed, however, this can be separated into two single beds upon request. Newly revamped rooms offer gorgeous contemporary décor, private balconies, en-suite bathrooms with both indoor and outdoor showers.
