Safaris
From the sanctity of Tsowa Island your safari drive will start by gliding across the swift waters of the Zambezi River to the mainland a few minutes away where your safari vehicle will be waiting to take you on a journey of discovery into the Zambezi National Park, which is home to large herds of elephant and buffalo, as well as lion, hyena, giraffe and numerous species of antelope and other plains game. Our skilled and professional safari guide will be on hand to identify and interpret the wildlife, sights and sounds to be found in the park to ensure you have an enriching and rewarding safari experience. The safari drives are approximately 4 hours and include a refreshment stop – either a coffee stop for morning drives or a sundowner stop for the afternoon safari drives. This activity is available for children 12 years and older.

River Cruise
The river cruise takes place in the late afternoon to enjoy the spectacular African sunsets along the Zambezi River. Drinks and snacks are served as you cruise up the river while keeping an eye out for animals coming down to drink on the banks of the Zambezi National Park. The river cruise also provides a good opportunity to see some of the abundant aquatic birdlife that inhabits the banks of the Zambezi. This activity is for children 12 years and older.

Canoeing
Available year-round, canoeing is done in two-person inflatable canoes and is offered from mid-morning to early afternoon. Guests will be accompanied by guides also in inflatables. This fun activity is a great way to spend an adventurous afternoon. Guests leave from the island in their boats and have lunch and drinks en-route on the banks of the river.
