DESCRIPTION:
Colina Verde is your 7 bedroom luxury beach villa on the spectacular and secluded Machangulo peninsula in southern Mozambique. Welcoming groups of 6-18 guests on an exclusive use basis, we offer unforgettable experiences in the comfort and privacy of this exquisitely designed vacation home by the sea. Extensive indoor and outdoor spaces provide the perfect backdrop for family gatherings and reunions of friendship while encouraging our guests to unwind and enjoy the magic of this very special place.

Set in 10 000ha of the Machangulo Reserve with 20 km of coastline, this is a special spot for friends and families to reconnect in idyllic surroundings. Under one roof, each of the seven en-suite bedrooms of the lodge is individually decorated in washed, calm colours and built to hug a central circular pool and hot tub. But for a complete escape, there’s a tower deck alongside where you can read, nap and
dream all day.

Wake up with the sun, throw open the doors and feel a lust for life. There may be dolphins surfing the waves below or humpback whales flicking their tales in the distance, while you sip your coffee on the deck. Maybe head down to the deserted golden beach for a walk and an ocean dip before breakfast – served by your personal chef, using fresh local and garden ingredients. It’s a magical way to start the day..

Colina Verde was built with families in mind and bedrooms are under one (rather generous) roof giving parents of younger children peace of mind and creating an atmosphere that is both intimate and expansive. Pristine, empty beaches that go on for miles and dense coastal forest surround Colina Verde and allow exceptional privacy as well as plenty of opportunity for adventure. We have a full range of private guided activities from serene dhow cruises to high adrenalin fishing experiences. Our dedicated and experienced team provide unparalleled flexibility.

Go deep-sea fishing for Giant Trevally and more – or saltwater flyfishing. Try sandboarding, snorkelling, fat-biking or kayaking. Or enjoy a picnic on a sandbar and sundowners aboard a traditional sailing dhow. Maybe visit the local village or nearby Maputo Special Reserve where, if you’re lucky, you can see whales and elephants at the same time. Another luck is seeing loggerhead and leatherback turtles lumber up the beach on summer nights to lay their eggs. It’s an awe-inspiring highlight to this quintessential African beach holiday.
