DESCRIPTION:
Set in one of South Africa’s most celebrated Big Five reserves, Jaci’s Private Lodge offers a safari experience that is both deeply personal and quietly luxurious. From extraordinary game viewing to thoughtfully designed spaces and genuine, heartfelt hospitality, every detail invites you to slow down, settle in, and feel part of something special.
Located within the malaria-free Madikwe Game Reserve in South Africa’s North West Province, Jaci’s Private Lodge offers an authentic, upmarket safari experience in one of South Africa’s most rewarding wildlife destinations. Proudly family-owned and deeply rooted in Madikwe, Jaci’s is known for its vibrant character, relaxed luxury, exceptional guiding and warm, generous hospitality.
Following an extensive rebuild, Jaci’s has been thoughtfully reimagined as one unified private lodge, offering a flexible collection of accommodation options for couples, families and groups. The six Safari Suites are elegant, bush-facing sanctuaries for two adults, each featuring a super-king or twin bed, open-plan bathroom, sunken lounge and private viewing deck overlooking the reserve. Designed with families in mind, the four Safari Suite Expeditions offer the same refined safari style, with clever additional sleeping space for up to two children.
The safari experience is shaped by the rhythm of the bush. Twice-daily game drives are led by experienced guides, with mornings dedicated to first light and cool, active wildlife movement, and afternoons unfolding into golden-hour sightings, sundowners and night-drive atmosphere. Between drives, guests can relax at the main lodge pool, enjoy the privacy of their villa pool, spend quiet time on the decks, or visit Jaci’s celebrated wildlife-viewing spaces. The Terrapin Hide offers a rare water-level perspective for photographers and nature lovers, while Thutlwa Lookout and other lodge spaces allow guests to remain connected to the surrounding bush throughout the day.
For a truly memorable experience, Naledi Sleepout invites guests to spend a night beneath the stars above a waterhole, complete with a canopied king-size bed, outdoor shower and private wood-fired hot tub. Spa treatments are available on request, while dining at Jaci’s is generous, relaxed and deeply connected to place, from open-air deck meals and boma dinners under the stars to fireside feasts and abundant safari-style hospitality.
At its heart, Jaci’s Private Lodge is about connection: to the bush, to the people, and to the unforgettable moments shared in the wild. It is a lodge designed for travellers who value privacy without formality, comfort without pretence, and a safari experience that feels personal, warm and completely rooted in Madikwe.
