Situated in the Big5 Balule Nature Reserve on the banks of the Olifants River near the Kruger National Park.
Maninghi Lodge is settled on the banks of the mighty Olifants River in Balule Nature Reserve, which is situated in the Greater Kruger National Park. The Lodge boasts an unparalleled, 3km view of the Olifants River and the Blyde Canyon mountains in the background, with Maninghi often playing host to scores of elephant, hippo, lion and other wildlife, which come to the river to slake the thirsts brought by the African sun. Maninghi is family, couples and corporate-friendly, and the wide variety of activities around the area guarantees everyone is entertained.
Maninghi Main Lodge consists of 5 bedrooms - 3 en-suite (with AIRCON) and 2 open loft areas (Sleeping 12 guests), making it ideal for couples, families and larger groups alike. The rooms are fully furnished with comfortably appointed linen, towels and amenities. The 'common areas' include a relaxing lounge with a tea and coffee station, honesty bar and dining room, lapa, swimming pool and restricted access to the gardens with seating areas to enjoy the river views and wildlife. There is a viewing Deck which is enjoyed by many, over looking the gardens and river & facing our 2 beautiful Sycamore Fig Trees! WiFi is available at no cost and is accessible throughout the property.
The lodge itself has a wonderful outside seating area, as well an indoor dining room, bar and lounge for our guests to enjoy. There is a small splash pool available to cool you down during those summer days!
Sit back, relax, & enjoy viewing animals coming down to drink at the river or watch birds feed in our two magnificent sycamore fig trees.

Nothing completes a day in the bush like a game drive by one of our highly experienced hosts, who are keen to help you spot your favourite animal, or can educate you on aspects of bushlore and animal behaviour, in our open-safari vehicle. Balule Nature Reserve is home to The Big 5, and a variety of general game and birds.
